The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Akinwole Akinleye has fulfilled part of his promises in delivering qualitative education to the good people of Akinyele Local Government by commissioning a block of three(3) Classrooms at Sagbe Community Primary School, Sagbe Moniya, Ibadan.
Hon Akinwole Akinleye while speaking at the commissioning ceremony said the project which was initiated by his administration is one of the several projects aimed at fulfilling promises made to the electorates during the electioneering campaign for the office of the Executive Chairman of the Local Government.
He said on assumption of office, he hit the ground running by identifying the most urgent needs of the people and taking proactive steps to ensure they are actualized.
“Education has always been very dear to the heart of our indefatigable principal, The Fogbontolu, Fogbontoye of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde and taking a cue from the Omituntun 2.0 Agenda, this sector is one of our priority areas.
No amount of Fund spent in this area could be regarded as a waste. As someone said, if you think education is expensive, then try ignorance.
In the words of Lord Brougham, Education makes a people easy to lead, but difficult to drive; easy to govern, but impossible to enslave.
To Winston Churchill, The Empires of the future are the empires of the mind. The legendary Late Mandiba Nelson Mandela once said that education rains the most potent tool for fighting poverty.
The foregoing attests to the need to accord education a pride of place in the scheme of things.”
“I am happy that this project that commenced less than two(2) months ago is successfully completed and is being delivered to the beneficiary community today.
It bears eloquent testament to our administration’s aversion to abandoned projects and also reaffirms our commitment to ensuring that any projects embark upon are completed in record time.
To the doubters, naysayers and wailers, it is sufficient to say no one doubts proofs or what they can see. This project is one of the many others that proves that Akinyele Local Government is working rking.
It is our intention to ensure that as we deliver on our projects mandate and social contract with the good people of this Local Government in a fair, equitable and sustainable manner”.
The Vice Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Sakiru Akintunde praised the Executive Chairman for been a man who is ready to take responsibility for actions that will bring development and make life easier for the people of Akinyele Local Government.
He assured the people that the current administration will continue to do its best to ensuring a safer and prosperous environment.
In his speech , The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon Seun Olufade commended Hon Akinwole Akinleye for his giant strides in Akinyele Local Government and assured him of his continuous support.
Elder Babatunde Tijani( Double T) also praised Hon Akinwole Akinleye for living up to his words by promoting a sustainable and safer environment for the good people of Akinyele Local Government.
He assured the people of Akinyele Local Government that Hon Akinwole Akinleye will continue to complement and replicate the good works of His Excellency, The Governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde in Akinyele Local Government.
In his address, The Oyo SUBEB Chairman who performed the Commissioning exercise, Dr Nureni Adeniran commended the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Akinwole Akinleye for making positive impact and initiating laudable projects that will affect the good people of Akinyele local Government directly.
He stated the Oyo state Government under the Leadership of Engr Seyi Makinde will continue to provide qualitative education to the good people of Oyo state.
The Chairman OYSCSDA, Hon Abideen Adeaga, The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education Intervention, Hon Abiodun Tiamy and many other speakers at the ceremony spoke about the Executive Chairman of Akinyele LG’s commitment to the development of Akinyele LG even before he assumed office.
They assured the people of their continuous contributions to support him by using their offices to facilitate developmental projects to Akinyele Local Government.
