Hon. Waheed Akintayo, also known as “Ilumoka Presenter”, lawmaker representing Oluyole State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has continued his commitment to improving the living standards of his constituents by making impactful donations to two communities and addressing water supply challenges at a primary healthcare facility.
The lawmaker recently donated 300,000 naira to a group of many communities under the auspices of PIAOGECO General Community Development Association in ward 2 and a donation of 250,000 naira to Ifelodun community, under Ward 4.
According to the lawmaker, the donations were aimed at completing a section of the asbestos ceiling of the community hall and supporting PIAOGECO’s community-driven security initiatives to purchase a security camera street light.
During the presentation, Hon Akintayo reiterated his commitment to ensuring the well-being of his constituents and fostering an environment where residents could thrive.
Additionally, Hon. Akintayo facilitated the replacement and installation of a pumping machine at a Primary Healthcare Centre in ward 2, a move expected to significantly improve the availability of clean and safe water for patients and staff alike.
This intervention is part of his broader effort to upgrade healthcare facilities in Oluyole in line with governor Seyi Makinde initiatives, as he recognizes the crucial role of accessible water in promoting better health outcomes.
The lawmaker expressed his gratitude to the people of Oluyole for their continued support and promised to keep working towards enhancing infrastructure and services in the constituency.
Reacting, residents and one of the community leaders who is a Yoruba Nollywood actor, popularly known as Baba Londoner expressed their appreciation for Akintayo’s efforts, noting that the pumping machine will ease water issues at the healthcare, while the cash donations provide a timely relief to fix needs of the communities.
Hon. Akintayo’s actions reflect his ongoing dedication to the development of his constituency and his readiness to respond to the needs of his people.
