Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Ibadan North Local Government, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde and his family over the loss of his elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.
In a statement, Hon. Salami described the late Engineer Sunday Makinde as a man of honor and integrity who contributed immensely to the development of his community and left behind a legacy of selfless service and compassion.
“The passing of Engineer Sunday Makinde is a great loss not only to the Makinde family but to all of us in Oyo State who admired his exemplary life and dedication to humanity,” Hon. Salami remarked.
He added, “My thoughts and prayers are with Governor Seyi Makinde and his family during this difficult period. May the Almighty console them and grant them the strength to endure this painful loss. May the soul of Engineer Sunday Makinde rest in eternal peace.”
Hon. Salami further called on the people of Oyo State to honor the memory of the late Engineer by emulating his values of humility, hard work, and commitment to the common good.
