In a bid to strengthen their allegiance to Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, political associates from across the Oyo Central Senatorial District paid a courtesy visit to Otunba Seye Famojuro on Monday.
The delegation, comprising vibrant youth leaders from the district, pledged their unwavering support and loyalty to the governor, citing his exemplary leadership and dedication to youth inclusion in governance.
The group lauded Governor Makinde’s transformative achievements across various sectors in the state.
They praised his commitment to empowering young people, noting the significant strides made in youth inclusion and calling for increased representation of youths in government.
While addressing the delegation, Otunba Seye Famojuro expressed his heartfelt appreciation for their steadfast support, even in the face of limited appointments and engagement opportunities within the current administration.
He commended their maturity and dedication, urging them to remain patient and focused, as opportunities to showcase their capabilities would come in due time.
“Your loyalty and commitment to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, despite the challenges, are commendable. Stay true to your principles, continue to excel in your endeavors, and your moment to shine will come,” Otunba Famojuro advised.
He further highlighted the exemplary leadership of Prince Falana Adebowale Adebayo, the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, as a testament to Governor Makinde’s trust in youth capacity.
Otunba Famojuro assured them that Governor Makinde’s administration would continue to recognize and appoint capable youths who demonstrate readiness to contribute meaningfully to governance.
The visiting youths, in turn, expressed their gratitude to Otunba Famojuro for his warm reception and words of encouragement.
They acknowledged his silent but impactful contributions to advancing youth causes and providing support to emerging political leaders who might not ordinarily have had a chance in the political sphere.
