Ibadan, Oyo State — At the swearing-in ceremony for additional political appointees in Ibadan SouthWest Local Government, Oyo State, prominent political leader and Chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM Ibadan, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, lauded the efforts of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in fostering inclusive governance.

The event, which welcomed a new cohort of supervisory councillors and special assistants, saw the presence of notable PDP leaders, including the Oyo State PDP Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Chairman of Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Adeniran, and the Executive Chairman of Ibadan SouthWest Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Akande (Eletu 1), Vice Chairman Hon Tajudeen Adigun ATU, Kunle Busari Gudugudu, Party Chairman Hon Balogun Moruff, Baba Baba Bada among others.

Oloye Adegoke, a chieftain of the PDP and Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, commended the leadership of the Oyo State, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde and party for the commitment to strengthening governance at the grassroots level. He particularly praised the inclusivity displayed in appointing individuals who represent the aspirations of the people of Ibadan SouthWest Local Government and Oyo State at large.

In his address, Oloye Adegoke admonished the newly appointed officials to rise to the occasion and use their positions to positively impact their communities. He stressed the importance of responsible leadership and urged the appointees to prioritize the welfare of the people.

“Your positions are not just for personal accolades but an opportunity to serve and represent the good people of Ibadan SouthWest and Oyo State. Ensure that the impact of your work is felt positively by the people you serve. Use this platform wisely to build trust and foster development,” he advised.

The event also underscored the unity and synergy among the leaders and stakeholders of the PDP in Oyo State, further solidifying the party’s resolve to deliver on its promises of development and inclusivity.
