Director-General and global liaison for the Nigeria-China strategic partnership, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe has expressed profound sadness over the passing of His Eminence, Fadilat Sheikh Muhydeen Ajani Bello, also known as Oniwasi Agbaye.
The revered Islamic figure’s death has left a significant void in the hearts of many in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Yoruba land at large.
Sheikh Muhydeen Bello, a distinguished cleric, was known for his inspiring preaching, teaching, philanthropy, and exemplary pious lifestyle.
He touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on his generation, making his life a blessing to many.
Tegbe stated “I received with profound sadness the news of the passing of His Eminence, Fadilat Sheikh Muhydeen Ajani Bello, Oniwasi Agbaye, a revered Islamic figure in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Yorubaland at large.
The sad event occurred, leaving an unfillable void in the hearts of many.
Without an iota of doubt, Sheikh Muhydeen lived a fulfilled life, leaving an indelible mark on this generation.
He was a blessing to many, impacting countless lives through his inspiring preaching, teaching, philanthropy, and, above all, his exemplary pious lifestyle.
On behalf of the Oguntegbe family, and indeed all descendants of Labo and environs, I extend my deepest condolences to his immediate family, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, the Grand Imam of Oyo State, the Muslim Ummah, and indeed all Ibadan and Yoruba sons and daughters.
May Almighty Allah grant repose to the soul of the deceased, bless his memory, and grant him Aljanah Firdaus.”
