Ibadan North Local Government Ward 10 Councilor, Hon. Abeeb Alayande, hosted an 8-day Firdaus prayer for his late father, Baale Murthada Alayande.
The event, held at his father’s residence, was attended by PDP leaders, executives, and members from wards 1 to 12.
It was a significant occasion marked not only by prayer but also by Hon. Alayande’s continued commitment to poverty alleviation.
During the event, Hon. Alayande empowered 20 residents of Ward 10 with ₦10,000 each, furthering his ongoing financial empowerment program.
This gesture was a testament to his dedication to uplifting the community, a value instilled in him by his late father.
The event saw the presence of prominent figures such as Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Wole Akinleye, the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, and Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde.
Also in attendance were Hon. Kazeem Oshoniyi, former Caretaker Chairman of Aare Latosa LCDA, Leader Joshua Oladapo (Jossy), the Leader of Ibadan North Local Government Legislative Arm, Hon. Taiwo Adebola, along with his colleagues(councilors).
In his speech, Hon. Abeeb Alayande expressed heartfelt gratitude to the residents, family, friends, and PDP members for their support and for honoring his father’s memory.
He acknowledged their efforts to attend despite their busy schedules and promised to continue his father’s legacy of community support.
Hon. Alayande also requested the PDP leaders present to assist in distributing the envelopes to the beneficiaries.
The envelopes were handed over by notable PDP figures, including Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, Hon. Lanre Sarumi, Hon. Ogunsina Michael (Oyo State PDP Youth Leader and Acting Publicity Secretary), and the Ibadan PDP Women Leader, who is also the Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Hon. Alayande for the financial support, praying for God’s continued blessings and guidance for him.
They also offered prayers for the repose of Baale Murthada Alayande’s soul, wishing him Al-Jannah Firdaus.
This event underscored Hon. Abeeb Alayande’s commitment to his community and his dedication to continuing his father’s legacy of generosity and support.
