In a heartfelt statement, Hon. Babajide Gabriel, lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency 2 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has expressed profound sadness over the passing of Alhaja Kudirat Titilayo Akande, mother of his colleague, Hon. Modiu Opeyemi Akande, who represents Ibadan South East 1 State Constituency.
Alhaja Kudirat Titilayo Akande passed away today at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that has deeply impacted her family and all who knew her.
Hon. Gabriel, on behalf of the Assembly, extended his deepest condolences to Hon. Akande and his family.
“It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that I extend my heartfelt condolences to my esteemed colleague, Hon. Modiu Opeyemi Akande, and his family on the passing of his beloved mother, Alhaja Kudirat Titilayo Akande.
Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support for her family have left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Her passing is an irreplaceable loss, and we share in the deep sorrow felt by Hon. Akande and his family during this difficult time,” Hon. Gabriel stated.
The funeral of the late Alhaja Kudirat Titilayo Akande will be held today at her husband’s house, Felele Rab junction, Baba Allahbamusa’s house, according to Islamic rites.
Hon. Gabriel prayed for Almighty Allah to grant Hon. Akande and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
“May Almighty Allah grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus and bring peace to the hearts of her loved ones,” he added.
