The Oyo State Forum of Local Government Executive Vice Chairmen and political heads has commended the executive governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for his recent approval of an ₦80,000 minimum wage for state workers.
In a statement released to the media after their meeting today in Ibadan, the vice chairmen of the 33 local governments in Oyo State highlighted the governor’s responsiveness to the economic needs of the populace, especially the workers.
The Forum Chairman and Political Head of Ibadan West, Hon. Tajudeen Adigun Atuu, was represented by the Vice Chairman of Kajola Local Government, Dr. Robert Adeniji. While speaking, he appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE, for his exemplary leadership.
The vice chairmen praised Governor Makinde for his proactive approach to governance, describing him as a “populist governor” who consistently prioritizes the welfare of both the workers and the citizens of Oyo State.
