Yesterday, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of the Oyo South Senatorial District held a significant meeting at the Ido Local Government Council Secretariat.

The district comprises nine local governments: Ido, Ibadan North, Ibadan Northeast, Ibadan Southeast, Ibadan Southwest, Ibadan Northwest, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa East, and Ibarapa North.

Ibadan North Local Government made a notable impression by turning out in large numbers, showcasing their unity and organization with a beautiful uniform.

Their delegation included the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, his Vice Chairman, two House of Assembly representatives, commissioners, board chairmen, Special assistant on federal constituency, party leaders, executives, supervisory councilors, special assistants, and numerous party members.

During the meeting, party chairmen from each local government presented their reports, universally praising the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for his substantial contributions to the state’s development. They also emphasized the need for the continued delivery of democratic dividends in their respective areas.

The leaders affirmed that the party is in excellent condition, highlighting the unity among members, appointees, and elected officials, all of whom take PDP matters very seriously.

Hon. Adepoju Anthony Adebayo spoke on behalf of the federal House of Representatives members from the Oyo South Senatorial District.

Hon. Olufunke Comforter spoke on behalf of the Oyo State House of Assembly members from Oyo South, while Hon. Ramon Adepoju, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northwest Local Government, spoke for the local government chairmen in Oyo South.

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, gave the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all PDP members for their unwavering support, particularly during the last general election.

He reassured members of the continuous benefits of party participation.

In his closing remarks, the General Secretary of PDP in Oyo State, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, thanked the leaders, party members, elected officials, and appointees for their dedication and unity. He urged all PDP members in the Oyo South Senatorial District to maintain their solidarity.
