Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide has passionately appealed to Nigerians to wholeheartedly embrace religious tolerance, emphasizing its critical role in fostering harmony and understanding among the country’s diverse religious communities.

Hon. Olajide made the appeal during the 35th anniversary celebration of (AF-NI-MO-NA), an initiative of Muslims in Light Organization (MILOR), of the Caring and Sharing Sufi Centre Nigeria held at scout camp, challenge Ibadan.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Olajide emphasized the importance of fostering understanding and respect among different religious groups in Nigeria.

He said, “Religious tolerance is not just a necessity but a vital component for peace and progress in our diverse nation, and urged attendees to embrace the values of coexistence, compassion and dialogue, which are fundamental to the teachings of various faiths.”

Olajide lauded the founder of the Caring and Sharing Sufi Centre, Master RTB Akinbile, for his decades long commitment to promoting peace and unity among Muslims, while stating that his unwavering leadership has been instrumental in guiding the center towards becoming a place of hope and an example of what can be achieved through mutual respect and collaboration.”

He highlighted that by nurturing a spirit of coexistence and respect, Nigerians can pave way for a more peaceful and united society, which he said is essential for the nation’s progress and stability.

The event, which attracted a large turnout, also featured a book presentation which reflected on the journey of AF-NI-MO-NA over the past 35 years, highlighting the organization’s achievements in community service, education, and interfaith dialogue.
