Engr. Oluseyi Oyebamiji has expressed deep sympathy for the victims of the tragic building collapse in the Jegede-Olunloyo area of Ona Ara Local Government, which resulted in the loss of at least 10 lives and numerous injuries.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the victims, the Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Hon. Temitope Kolapo, and the entire affected community.
Describing the incident as a heartbreaking tragedy that resonates beyond the local government to the entire nation, Oyebamiji stated, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families mourning their loved ones and those currently receiving medical care.”
As a seasoned civil engineer, he stressed the need for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collapse.
“Assessing the structural integrity of buildings in our communities is crucial for ensuring the safety of our residents,” he emphasized.
