In a significant milestone for grassroots sports development, Coach Busari Omobolaji Idriz, popularly known as “Bakayoko,” launched his new football club, Team Bakayoko, at the IITA Football Field in Moniya, Ibadan.

The event attracted a large crowd of dignitaries, family, friends, and football enthusiasts who gathered to support the new club’s debut.

The highlight of the launch was an exciting novelty match between Akinyele All stars and Living legends

The match ended with Akinyele All stars claiming victory with 4-0.

In his speech, Coach Bakayoko expressed deep gratitude to his parents, Alhaji and Alhaja Busari, for their role in shaping his journey and supporting his dreams.

He also thanked his wife, Mrs. Adedamola Busari, and his children, Jamal and Iman, for their presence and encouragement.

“Today is one of the happiest days of my life. Launching this club is a dream I’ve nurtured for a long time, and to see it come to fruition is a blessing,” he said.

Coach Bakayoko explained that Team Bakayoko is dedicated to developing young talent with aspirations to make a mark both in Nigeria and globally.

He envisions the club evolving into a world-renowned football academy that will attract scouts and provide young players with opportunities to pursue professional careers.

During the event, Coach Bakayoko proudly introduced his team to the public.

His parents had the honor of unveiling the home and away kits, which he designed in homage to his father’s passion for Arsenal FC. Additionally, the club’s captain, OJ, and vice-captain, Tunde, were formally decorated.

With Team Bakayoko now officially launched, Coach Bakayoko’s vision to nurture talent from Ibadan and beyond has taken an inspiring first step.
