The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, has joined friends and family members to celebrate prominent members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state whose birthday anniversary celebrations coincided with Nigeria’s Independence Day anniversary celebration.

In his congratulatory message to the celebrants made available to newsmen on October 1, Olatunji acknowledged the immense contributions of the PDP stalwarts to the political landscape of Oyo state and the present government.

The birthday celebrants are former Oyo First Lady, Alhaja Chief Mutiat Ladoja, Chief Babatunde Ologburo, former House of Representatives members, Honorables Babatunde Oduyoye and Abiodun Awoleye.

Olatunji described the October 1 birthday celebrants as special and unique as they share special day with the Nigeria, which he said will remain memorable as long as Nigeria continues to exists.

“Today, as we celebrate our nation’s independence, we also honor those among us who have dedicated their lives to serving the people of Oyo state and have continued to provide the needed leadership within our great party.

“Your birthdays remind us of the importance of leadership and commitment to the progress of our great country.”

“Your birthday anniversary celebrations are particularly special and unique because of the date which indicates liberation and freedom from oppression and captivity.

“As we celebrate this special, I want to on behalf of my family and the good people of Oluyole join your families, friends, and loved ones to celebrate you for being light to our generation.

“We can not but acknowledge the fact that your role in the enthronement and sustenance of the present administration under our father and leader, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, has been remarkable as young politicians look up to you for direction within the ever evolving political landscape not only in Oyo state but Nigeria as a whole.

“It is my earnest prayer and wish that God continues to keep and preserve you to fulfill your different purposes till the fullness of your times.” Olatunji said.
