The PDP Ibadan North Local Government meeting at Yemetu saw a wave of generosity as Hon. Kazim Adeniyi Adeyinka Bibire, the former Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, made substantial donations to party members.
Hon. Bibire distributed thousands of notebooks and provided financial support to the party members and executives.
Accompanied by the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, Hon. Bibire was warmly received by hundreds of PDP members at the weekly meeting.
Hon. Olufade expressed his delight in attending the meetings regularly and keeping his promise to bring significant figures within the party.
He commended Hon. Bibire for his generosity and service to the community, noting that thousands of notebooks were distributed to primary schools in Ibadan North Federal Constituency earlier.
During his speech, Hon. Olufade announced the swearing-in of new officials for effective governance, including Hon. Oladejo Oluwafemi Olayinka as Secretary of Ibadan North Local Government and political head of Irepodun LCDA, Nojeem Adewale Shodende as Assistant Secretary of Aare Latosa LCDA, and Stephen Olaniyi as Assistant Secretary of Irepodun LCDA. He urged party members to support these new appointees for the development of the area.
Hon. Bibire, in his address, praised Hon. Olufade for his leadership and the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for his effective governance.
Hon. Bibire expressed his commitment to the party and distributed notebooks and financial support. He provided 100 notebooks to the PDP Local Government executives, 240 notebooks to ward executives, and 2400 notebooks to the 12 wards for distribution to party members’ children.
He also gave ₦600,000 to be distributed among party members from the 12 wards and ₦50,000 to the Local Government party executives.
Former House of Assembly aspirant, Hon. Olusoji Alade, known as SOJ, contributed ₦240,000, with each ward receiving ₦20,000. Hon. Olufade commended Hon. SOJ for his generosity and urged party members to support him in their prayers for a favorable appointment soon, describing him as a man with a genuine heart.
Additionally, the Vice Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Akeem Ayoade, donated ₦50,000 for refreshments and announced an upcoming empowerment program.
Hon. Esho from Ward 8 added ₦20,000 to the refreshment fund, and Dr. Kunle Awotiku contributed ₦50,000. Dr. Awotiku also highlighted an empowerment initiative by the Oyo State House of Assembly member representing Ibadan North Constituency 1, who provided ₦10,000 each to 18 beneficiaries.
The meeting concluded on a high note, with members and executives leaving with smiles, reflecting the generosity and commitment of the party leaders to their members and the community.
