In a significant gesture aimed at alleviating economic hardship, Hon. Nafisat Opeyemi Gbadegesin, the Supervisory Councilor for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion in Ibarapa North Local Government, has extended financial support to 30 women in Ibarapa North Local Government.
Each woman received ₦5000 as part of this empowerment initiative.
Hon. Nafisat Opeyemi Gbadegesin, who has been in her position as Supervisory Councilor for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion for just two months, expressed her longstanding desire to create a platform for supporting women.
In a statement to Populist News at Ibarapa North Local government hall where the empowerment took place, she emphasized the importance of caring for women and her commitment to their well-being.
She also highlighted her intention to always complement the efforts of Hon. Lateef Adebare Lawal Akorede, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government.
Hon. Nafisat Gbadegesin, who hails from Ward 2 of Ibarapa North Local Government, selected beneficiaries from all 10 wards within the local government area.
She pledged to continue such empowerment initiatives, stating her joy in bringing smiles to people’s faces.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, thanking Hon. Nafisat Opeyemi Gbadegesin for her generosity and praying for her continued success and prosperity.
