In a continued effort to reduce poverty and support the economic well-being of his constituents, Hon. Habeeb Alayande, the Ward 10 Councilor of Ibadan North Local Government, has disbursed ₦10,000 each to the second set of beneficiaries in his ongoing poverty alleviation program.
The disbursement took place yesterday at New Eden Primary School, located beside Premier Hotel Junction in Oremeji.
This latest distribution saw 10 new beneficiaries receiving financial assistance, bringing them into the fold of those who have benefited from Hon. Alayande’s initiative. Earlier this month, the first set of beneficiaries also received ₦10,000 each, with Hon. Alayande pledging to extend the program to at least 100 residents.
Addressing the new set of beneficiaries and other residents of Ward 10, Hon. Alayande reaffirmed his commitment to achieving the program’s goal of reaching 100 beneficiaries.
“I am delighted that the token given to the beneficiaries is well-appreciated and is helping them alleviate some of their economic burdens,” he said. “I will not discontinue this program until I meet my target. My aim is to continue putting smiles on the faces of our residents.”
Hon. Alayande also emphasized his commitment to complementing the efforts of the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the people of Ward 10 efficiently.
He expressed pride in being the pioneer of this initiative among his colleagues and satisfaction that others have since followed suit, launching similar programs in their respective wards.
The new beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Hon. Alayande, praying for God’s continued blessings upon him, as well as increased wisdom and resources to sustain his work in the community.
As part of the ongoing efforts, Hon. Alayande distributed additional forms to prospective beneficiaries, indicating that the next round of disbursements will take place next month. He also took the opportunity to thank the residents, leaders, and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for their unwavering support.
Among the leaders present at the event were Hon. Jire, Hon. Kazim Oshoniyi, Hon. Adewole JP, Leader Mophy, and Leader Aribisala, alongside numerous residents of Ward 10.
