In a significant show of support during these challenging economic times, Hon. Olasemo Temitope Oreofe, the councilor representing Ward 2 of Ibadan North Local Government, has extended financial assistance to the widows, elderly, and other residents of his ward.
The gesture took place at IMG School, Nitel Area, Oniyanrin, Inalende, Ibadan, where Hon. Olasemo disbursed ₦10,000 each to the beneficiaries.
While addressing the gathering, Hon. Olasemo emphasized his commitment to alleviating the economic difficulties faced by his constituents.
He stated that as their representative in the legislative arm of Ibadan North Local Government, he is determined to provide financial assistance to at least 10 people in his ward every three months.
The councilor highlighted the importance of complementing the efforts of the executive chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, at the grassroots level, ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every corner of the local government.
Hon. Olasemo praised Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade for his exemplary leadership in managing the affairs of Ibadan North and expressed his gratitude to the residents of Ward 2 for their unwavering support.
He assured them of continued quality representation and promised more empowerment initiatives in the future.
The beneficiaries, in their expressions of gratitude, thanked Hon. Olasemo for his timely support, especially during this period of economic hardship. They offered prayers for his continued guidance, protection, and prosperity.
The event was well-attended by several leaders, including Leader Fasiu Popoola, Leader Mutiu, Leader Asimiu Olaniyan, Leader Shade Adeyemi, the Special Assistant to the Chairman on Education, Mudashiru Bashiru, and Leader Odewale Akeem. Also present were the PDP executives of Ward 2, including the Ward Chairman, Mr. Mutaudeen Bolata, Vice Chairman, Morufu Adeleke, Ward Secretary, Busari Haina, Women Leader, Ogunwole Wumi, and many others.
