As the world celebrates International Youth Day 2024, the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Prince Adebowale Falana Adebayo, delivered a powerful message to the youth of Nigeria, particularly those in Oyo State. This year’s theme, *“From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development,”* underscores the critical role that digital innovation plays in shaping a sustainable future—a vision that resonates deeply with the ongoing OMITITUN 2.0 initiative.

In his statement, Prince Adebayo congratulated Nigerian youths and highlighted the importance of equipping young people with the necessary tools and skills to fully harness the potential of the digital age. He noted that since his assumption of office on May 20, 2024, he has been steadfast in aligning the Agency’s programs with the digital aspirations of Oyo State’s vibrant youth population.

“Under the exemplary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, we are preparing to launch a series of unprecedented developmental programs,” Prince Adebayo announced. These initiatives are designed to provide cutting-edge digital skills, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among the youth. The focus, he emphasized, is on enabling young people to transform their digital engagements—whether in technology, agriculture, or the creative industries—into tangible progress and leadership roles in the global economy.

Prince Adebayo called on the youth to be proactive and seize the opportunities that will soon be made available to them. He encouraged them to continue contributing positively to the growth and development of Oyo State and Nigeria at large, reinforcing the idea that the youth are not only beneficiaries of development but also its primary drivers.

In closing, Prince Adebayo reaffirmed the Agency’s unwavering commitment to the digital and overall development of Oyo State’s youth, urging them to embrace the future with confidence and determination.

“Together, we can build a future where our youths lead the charge in sustainable development,” he said, as he extended his best wishes on this significant day.
