In a significant move to alleviate poverty and fulfill his campaign promises, Hon. Habeeb Alayande, the Councilor representing Ward 10 in Ibadan North Local Government, has commenced the disbursement of funds to the first set of beneficiaries under his poverty alleviation program.

The disbursement event took place yesterday at New Eden Primary School, located beside Premier Hotel Junction in Oremeji, where 10 residents each received ₦10,000, as promised by Hon. Habeeb Alayande.

This initiative marks the beginning of a larger effort to support a total of 100 residents in the ward over the coming months, with 5 to 10 individuals benefiting each month.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Habeeb expressed his satisfaction in delivering on his promise to the people of Ward 10.

He emphasized that while the amount may be modest, it symbolizes his commitment to uplifting his community and offering a helping hand to those in need.

“Today, I am pleased to announce that we have successfully disbursed ₦10,000 to our first set of beneficiaries,” Hon. Habeeb stated. “Next month, another set will receive the same amount.

It’s a token, but it is my way of showing love to my people and offering them a hand of support.”

Hon. Habeeb also highlighted that this initiative complements the efforts of the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, in improving the welfare of residents across the local government area.

“I am committed to ensuring that Ward 10 receives its fair share of support,” Hon. Habeeb added.

“This program is just one of the many ways I plan to continue delivering the dividends of democracy to our community.”

Hon. Habeeb Alayande also commended the PDP party chairman in Ibadan North Local Government, Prince Seun Adelore, who is also from Ward 10, for his positive influence on him. He acknowledged that Prince Seun’s advice has been valuable, describing him as a true leader.

The event was well-attended by key PDP leaders, including Hon. Kazeem Oshoniyi, former caretaker chairman of Aare Latosa LCDA, and other notable figures such as Hon. Jire, Mama JP Adewole, ward executives, members of the PDP, and residents of Ward 10.

The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the initiative, noting that the program represents a proactive approach to addressing economic challenges at the grassroots level.

They prayed for God to continue to guide and protect Hon. Habeeb Alayande and to answer his prayers.

Hon. Habeeb Alayande reiterated his dedication to representing Ward 10 effectively and ensuring the continued development of the community through similar initiatives in the future.
