Ibadan North Local Government Ward 6 Councilor, Alhaji Ibrahim Faira, has made a significant contribution to the education sector in his community.

Hon. Faira donated teaching and writing materials to primary and secondary schools in Ward 6 and extended his generosity to nearby schools in Ward 7.

Hon. Faira, who organized an environmental sanitation exercise in his ward last month, emphasized the importance of educational development this time.

The beneficiaries of his donation include St. Bridgist Boys Primary School, St. Bridgist Girls Primary School, St. Bridgist Secondary School, and St. Gabriel Grammar School in Ward 6, as well as IMG Primary School and Aladura Primary School in Ward 7.

The donated materials consisted of pens and pencils for students and chalk for teachers to facilitate knowledge transfer.

In his speech, Hon. Faira expressed that his motivation stemmed from a commitment to his campaign promises of enhancing educational infrastructure and support.

Hon. Faira praised the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, for setting a commendable example through his recent educational inspections.

He credited Hon. Olufade’s leadership as an inspiration for his own contributions. Hon. Faira described the chairman as a leader dedicated to the development of every ward in Ibadan North.

Additionally, Hon. Faira appealed to the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, to consider employing non-indigenes (Hausas) who are qualified for the ongoing recruitment by SUBEB and TESCOM.

He emphasized that such inclusivity would enhance learning and knowledge transfer among Hausa students in schools with a significant Hausa population.

Hon. Faira also expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde for his inclusive governance and pledged not to take the privilege for granted.

The councilor was accompanied by Said Mahmud Said (Mukeso), Dr. Salisu Mikailu, Hon. Muhammed Bala, the Supervisory Councilor in Ibadan North Local Government, Maikudi Sani Muazu, and Ibrahim Hunkuyi Danliti during the donations.
