It was a joyous occasion yesterday as the Ibadan North Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, joined the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ibadan North Local Government branch, to celebrate their end-of-year party.
The event, held in Ibadan North, also honored several local government employees who are retiring from service.
The Oyo State NULGE President, Comrade Ayobami Adeogun, attended the event and expressed his gratitude to Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade for his presence.
He praised the chairman for the positive developments since he assumed office, highlighting the recent financial autonomy granted to the local government.
Comrade Adeogun described Hon. Olufade as a calm and reserved leader and requested his approval for the laying of the foundation of a NULGE building in Ibadan North Local Government.
In his address, Hon. Olufade thanked God for allowing him to witness the day and appreciated the cooperation of NULGE since he became the executive chairman.
He commended Mrs. Adeniji, the chairman of NULGE in Ibadan North Local Government, for her active leadership and described her as a remarkable and energetic woman.
He also acknowledged Comrade Adeogun for his dedication to the welfare of NULGE members across the state, calling him a good leader.
Hon. Olufade promised to identify a suitable location for the NULGE building and committed to approving and overseeing the foundation laying ceremony next Thursday.
He expressed his hope that the building would be completed and commissioned during his administration.
Mrs. Adeniji thanked Hon. Olufade for his consistent support and assurance regarding the NULGE building project. She prayed for his continued success and a prosperous administration.
