As the 8-day Fidau programme for the late Prince Olaide Akinremi, a two-term Member of the House of Representatives (MHR) representing Ibadan North federal constituency, approaches, Hon. Olusegun Olaleye, a two-term Oyo State House of Assembly member and former Federal House of Representatives aspirant, has extended his heartfelt condolences and prayers for the repose of the deceased in Al-Janat Firdaus.

Hon. Olaleye, popularly known as ‘Radical Brother,’ has supported the Fidau prayer programme with a generous donation of one million naira.

The donation was disbursed in tranches: half a million naira through the Ibadan North Local Government All Progressives Congress (APC) local executives, and the remaining half million naira split between two strategic organs within the local government.

Reflecting on the passing of his dear friend, Hon. Olaleye expressed profound grief, referring to Prince Akinremi as a ‘bosom friend and a brother.’ In his earlier condolence message, Hon. Olaleye shared his deep sorrow:

“I lost a bosom friend and a brother in the demise of Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban.

The death of Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban came to me as a great shock. We spoke for lengthy hours the night before your death, discussing assignments you asked me to carry out on your behalf.

I never knew you were saying goodbye to everyone. Your achievements as a federal honourable are indelible and written on marble.

You are a rare gem who came, saw, and conquered. My brother and my bosom personal person, sleep on in the Lord. Sun re o o.

I am still in shock over your passing and cannot find the words to describe your lasting contributions to humanity and to the good people of Ibadan North. I love you always, my own brother.”

The 8-day Fidau programme will serve as a solemn occasion for friends, family, and well-wishers to pay their respects and offer prayers for the eternal rest of Prince Akinremi.
