The Methodist High School Old Boys Association, National Secretariat, has launched an endowment fund to support the development of their alma mater.
The launch, which took place at the school’s premises, was graced by Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide (Odidiomo), Chairman of the occasion and special guest of honor.
In his address, Hon. Olajide encouraged the students to believe in themselves and their abilities.
“My word of encouragement to you as students is to always have it at the back of your mind that you can do it,” he said.
The former student of the school pledged to provide opportunities that will benefit both students and teachers.
He committed to renovating the school and arranging ICT training to provide real practical experience in information technology.
Hon. Olajide also donated One Million Naira to the Old Boys Association and urged the students to shun drug abuse and gangsterism.
He advised them to listen to their teachers and respect their guidance.
Highlight of the event was a friendly football match between the students of the school and presentation of medals and cash gift to participants of the competition.
The launch of the endowment fund marks a new chapter in the history of the school, and the Old Boys Association has pledged to continue supporting their alma mater.
