Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, the Executive Chairman of Atiba Local Government, has charged workers in the local government to be dedicated and committed to their duty with the promise of a better welfare package for them.

In a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo News by the council Principal Information Officer Mr. Bayo Ogunwale, Hon Wahab Adetunji, WABKEM, stated this at his maiden interactive meeting with the staff organized by the local branch of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, held at the Conference Hall, Council’s Secretariat, Ofa Meta Oyo, today.

Wabkem said his administration would take matters of staff welfare with utmost seriousness but charged workers to reciprocate the good gesture with a dedication to duty and commitment to the assignment given to them.

The council Boss stated that; “one of my administration’s focal points is the provision of a conducive atmosphere and prioritizing our workers’ welfare.

“If you want the best from a worker, you must ensure that his welfare is improved for increased productivity”.

“I will ensure that all your requests are resolved as soon as possible because my administration is passionate about staff welfare, and diligence for productive results,” Wabkem said.

In his remarks, Comrade Musibau Ayoade Aruna, the Branch Chairman of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Atiba Local Government, reinstated the determination of the staffers to give maximum support to the new administration and admonished the WABKEM-led administration to focus on programs that will benefit the staff, political class and the general populace of Atiba Local Government.

Others who graced the meeting included the Vice Chairman, Hon. Ismail Olaide Badmus, Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Peter Oladeji, Acting HLGA, Sooro LCDA, Alhaja Adelabu, other Principal Officers both from the main council and the LCDA.
