Pastor Oluwagbemiro A. Taiwo, the fourth commissioner of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde on the successful commissioning of the Iseyin-Fapote-ogbomoso road now called Alao-Akala Memorial Highway

This significant infrastructural milestone was officially commissioned on Thursday, May 30, 2024, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was represented by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima.

The Alao-Akala Memorial Highway, a critical road linking Ogbomoso to Oke-Ogun, is expected to boost commerce and ease transportation in the region.

Pastor Oluwagbemiro praised Governor Makinde for prioritizing infrastructure development throughout his administration.

Over the past five years, the governor has overseen the construction and rehabilitation of over 297.29 kilometers of roads, with several other projects currently underway.

“Governor Seyi Makinde has proven to be an agent of development,” Pastor Oluwagbemiro stated.

“The commissioning of this highway is a legacy project that will stand the test of time.

It opens up new opportunities for commerce and significantly improves the quality of life for our people.”

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the people of Ogbomoso, Pastor Oluwagbemiro, who hails from the Surulere Local Government area, emphasized the immense benefits the highway will bring to the community.

He lauded Governor Makinde’s dedication and vision, noting that the governor’s five-year tenure has brought about substantial progress and development in Oyo State.

Pastor Oluwagbemiro also encouraged all residents and indigenes of Oyo State to continue supporting Governor Makinde, whom he described as an “uncommon governor” committed to the state’s development.

He concluded by offering prayers for the governor’s continued success and blessings, underscoring the tangible achievements of his administration.

The newly commissioned highway is anticipated to play a pivotal role in the economic upliftment of Oyo State, fostering growth and development in the region.
