The National Student Body of National Association of Polytechnic Students NAPS has honoured the founder of Omituntun Benedict Forum, Oloye Benedict Akika with Outstanding Philanthropist (SouthWest) Award.

The award was presented by Comrade Kazeem A. The Vice President Special Duties alongside the NAPS Senate President Comrade Adeniji Boluwaji Temitope, Comrade Olalere Benedict Adetunji the Former NAPS President and Chairman NAPS Southwest Inauguration Committee, Comrade Abdulramon Demola the NAPS Director of Special Duties , NAPS Southwest Member Comrade Idris Sodiq.

Chief Benedict Akika, a thoroughbred and exceptional political leader, administrator, and humanitarian, has over the years dedicated her time, resources, and energy, bridging the gap between the rich and the poor with his unalloyed philanthropy.

The President while presenting the award states;

“the award is in recognition of your commitment to community and human capital development and being a reliable leader in the South West, Nigeria.

“The award is significant to serve as encouragement for all which you do to the students and youth, in promoting our activities and supporting us when needed.

“Your notable achievements alongside many philanthropic and humanitarian works centered around social mobility, healthcare, and shelter is beyond impressive. We also wish to commend your active support to those with poor backgrounds, providing free education, funding, elderly care, and entrepreneurial development.

In response, AgbaAkin Akika appreciated the student body for recognition and presentation, stating;

“I really appreciate this award though I am not expecting it because all I do is to Almighty God and help the people in need.

I only have passion to do good to everyone; students, youth, men, women, old and young for us to better communities and help future generations.

I dedicate this award to the family most especially my twins”

The Omoluabi Pataki promised to keep trying his best to make everyone happy and continuously living an impacting and worthy life for the young ones to emulate.
