…As Sen. Monsurat urges them to focus on productive grassroots development

Encomiums poured in as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman-elects from the four local government areas in Oyo Federal Constituency paid a thank-you visit to Senator Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu on Saturday to acknowledge her maternal and leadership roles during the council elections held in April.

Present at the certificate presentation were: Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem (Atiba), Hon. Oluokun Peter Olusola (Oyo East), Hon. Emmanuel O. Aikomo (Afijio), and Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi (Oyo West).

Other Vice-chairmen-elect include: Hon. Badmus Ismail Olaide (Atiba), Hon. Nureni Alade Adesola (Oyo West), Hon. Mustapha Wasiu Waspha (Oyo East), and Hon. Tajudeen Adegoke Aderemi Alatika (Afijio).

Speaking on behalf of the Chairmen-elect, Oluokun Peter Olusola expressed gratitude to Senator Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu for her instrumental role in their emergence across the four local governments in Òyó.

He pledged that they would strive to meet her expectations and make her proud.

He emphasized Senator Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu’s advocacy for prioritizing the welfare of the people and assured that their actions in office would be in the best interest of the constituents.

Moreover, the Chairmen-elect commended the state lawmakers representing the Oyo federal constituency for their support before, during, and after the local government election.

They also extended appreciation to all PDP leaders and stakeholders for their sportsmanship in delivering the party’s candidates.

The Chairmen-elect promised residents productive grassroots governance, aligning with the sustainable development agenda of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde.

In her address, Senator Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu congratulated all the Chairmen-elect and their running mates for their victory. She stressed that it’s time to transition from campaign rhetoric to action, emphasizing the high expectations for their respective council areas.

She reassured them of her unwavering support and guidance throughout their tenure.
