The Chairman-elect of Atiba local government, Offa-meta, Oyo, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, and his vice, Hon. Badmus Ismail Olaide, express profound appreciation to the good people of the Royal Council for their overwhelming support that led to victory in the just-concluded elections.
Waliu Adetunji, who defeated his close rival of the All Progressive Congress with 19,259 votes, lauded Atiba electorates and assured them of his commitment to represent their interests, working tirelessly to bring about positive change with dedication and commitment.
The statement reads:
“Dear residents of the Royal Council,
I want to express my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to every one of you who cast your votes for PDP in Atiba. Your trust in me and my running mate as your elected Chairman showed trust in our vision for a total restoration agenda.
I urge you to continue engaging with us, share your thoughts, visions, and innovative ideas, and collaborate towards achieving our collective goals in advocating for our community’s best interests.
Your votes are more than just a source of pride for us; they represent your thoughts, beliefs, and confidence in us to bring hope, progress, and prosperity to make Atiba primus inter pares in grassroots administration.
We commend OYSIEC for ensuring adequate preparations for the local government elections, including the training of election personnel, deployment, provision of voting materials, making it hitch-free, as well as the security personnel on election duty for “doing a good job”. The conduct of the election was peaceful and violence-free.
He lauded the PDP party leaders, stakeholders, and faithful members in Atiba for their diligence, saying the election victory would not have been possible without their unwavering belief in his leadership.
As we embark on this journey, together we shall continue to prioritize your best interests, build a brighter future for the Royal Council, where every resident’s need is met, bring dividends of democracy to your doorstep, and establish a unifying spirit of togetherness, transparency, fairness, equity, and justice.
Total accountability remains the cornerstone of our responsibility at no cost directly to the good people of the Royal Council. Together, we’ll build a better life.
Wabkem/Olaide is eager to embark on this journey of restoration legacy with you and be responsive to your needs.
Thank you once again; we’re proud to be your representatives, looking forward to a new dawn in Atiba. Together we shall.
The Restoration Agenda has come to Stay!
Wabkem/Olaide 2024.
