Today, PDP Olorunsogo LG officially receive defectors from opposition party SDP, the defectors were led by Alh. Yekeen Badmus, Hon. Jimoh Muftau, Comrade Oke Debo, Deacon Ilori Tunji and Hon. Waheed Yinusa all led defectors from opposition camps.
The large turn out of the people at the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) rally held at igbeti market Square in Olorunsogo local government, the rally has been described as an indication of victory for all PDP candidates.
While addressing the cheerful crowd, Alhaji Saminu Oladele echoed same sentiment, commending the unwavering dedication and support of party faithful, assuring them of PDP’s unwavering position as the ruling party.
The Campaign DG for Irepo Orelope Olorunsogo, Hon Jacob Ojekunle Ojemuyiwa affirmed that the PDP is the only Party in Oyo State that can boast of an array of exceptional and quality candidates, stressing that each candidate was chosen by the people through a rigorous process which will culminate into an imminent victory across alllocal government councils.
This assertion was made by the party’s candidate for Olorunsogo LG PDP Chairmanship Candidate in the 27th April, 2024 LG poll, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju.
Olayanju who is popularly known as Orelope expressed his happiness over the large turn out of the people, noted that the event has passed a clear message to the opposition political parties that the people of Olorunsogo LG are pleased with the PDP administration under Governor Makinde and therefore wants its continuation beyond 2024.
Orelope appreciated the leaders and members of PDP in Olorunsogo LG for coming out enmasse and show their love for the Governor and PDP candidates.
Hon Olayanju appreciated top PDP bigwigs that accompanied him during the rally especially the Party chairman of Olorunsogo LG, the irepo orelope olorunsogo campaign DG, olorunsogo LG campaign DG Alh Saminu Oladele , chief Ayantunde David Ayandeyi , Leader Babalola, Alh Ganiyu Opeloyeru and all political functionaries from Olorunsogo LG.
Olayanju urged the electorates in Olorunsogo local government to vote massively for all the PDP candidates in the Saturday 27th April 2024.
