Chief Benedict Akika, the Agbaakin Olorunda Abaa and Mayegun of Akobo Land, has fulfilled his promise to the Nigeria Beauticians/Hairdressers Association (NBHA) Oyo State chapter by digging and donating a borehole.

The pledge was made last year during the association’s annual hair/body exhibition at the Cultural Center in Mokola, Ibadan.

Today, Chief Akika followed through on his commitment, providing the association with a much-needed borehole at their headquarters in Oluyole Local Government Area.

In gratitude, Mrs. Toyin Oladapo, the president of NBHA Oyo State chapter, commended Chief Akika for his integrity and reliability, contrasting his actions with those of politicians who often make empty promises.

She expressed the association’s deep appreciation for Chief Akika’s tangible support, emphasizing his consistency in delivering on pledges.

“The Agbaakin Olorunda Abaa and Mayegun of Akobo Land, Chief Benedict Akika, has proven on so many occasions that he is not like those regular politicians going around promising heaven and earth, knowing they will not fulfill it.

We have met many politicians who have promised us things and failed to deliver. However, at our annual hair/body exhibition last year, Chief Benedict Akika promised to give us a generator, which he handed over to us immediately.

Afterward, he promised to dig and donate a borehole to us, and now he has fulfilled that too. I just don’t know how to describe Chief Benedict Akika. He is indescribable.

On behalf of the association, I want to tell him that we love him so much. I pray that God continues to bless Chief Benedict Akika and grants all his heart desires.”

During the digging of the borehole, the community and the members of the Nigeria Beauticians/Hairdressers Association (NBHA) Oyo State chapter were heard praising Akika and using the slogan of Oyo State Governor His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, which is “OMITUNTUN”.

In his address, Chief Akika reaffirmed his dedication to uplifting the people of the state: “You shouldn’t make promises that you won’t fulfill to people because it’s not conducive to our environmental and political development.

We are emulating the lifestyle of His Excellency, the governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde.

If Engineer Seyi Makinde makes promises, he makes sure he fulfills them.

I made the promise last year to dig a borehole for the association, and I have fulfilled it today.

I will continue to do more for the development of our state,” Agbaakin submitted.

As Chief Akika continues his efforts for the state’s progress, his recent action stands as a testament to his commitment to effecting tangible change and improving the lives of the people.
