In the spirit of the season, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency 1 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Comforter, began distributing palliatives on Thursday to Christians and Muslims to celebrate this year’s Easter and Ramadan period.

The gesture aims to reach various beneficiaries daily across Ibadan North Constituency 1 and beyond, utilizing house-to-house distributions to the elderly, as well as to the poorest households, religious leaders, and members of the Peoples Democratic Party within and outside the constituency she represents.

Hon. Comforter, who chairs the House Committee on Women Affairs and Community Development, has also attended and participated in religious exercises and lectures, fostering harmony and mutual support among Christians and Muslims within her constituency.

Additionally, she plans to distribute more food packs and provisions such as rice, beans, garri, and elubo to alleviate economic hardship in the country.

Speaking to the press, the lawmaker emphasized the unity between Muslims and Christians during this period and the necessity for joint prayers and support for the country’s needy.

Beneficiaries of this kind gesture expressed gratitude for Hon. Comforter’s philanthropic efforts over the years, acknowledging her impact on their lives, livelihood and community.
