The Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Atiba State Constituency, Hon. Gbenga Joseph Oyekola, extends best wishes for Ramadan Kareem to the constituents of the Royal Council in commemoration of the commencement of Ramadan fasting today.
He urges the faithful to use this period to extend goodness to neighbors, relatives, and other fasting Muslims.
The lawmaker encourages his constituents and Nigerian citizens as a whole to embody the virtues of Ramadan, which preach love, spiritual growth, forgiveness, and the light of faith, fostering a fasting experience that brings his Muslim constituents closer to Allah.
“As the blessed month of Ramadan begins, may Allah shower His blessings upon you and your loved ones. May this sacred time be filled with spiritual reflection, inner peace, and abundant blessings.”
Oyekola, who is the Vice-chairman of the House Committee on Finance, Appropriation, and State Economic Planning, emphasizes the unity that Ramadan embodies, urging everyone to foster spirits of compassion, generosity, and support for the vulnerable.
“May your fasting be accepted, your prayers be answered, and your hearts be filled with the light of faith and devotion. Wishing you a Ramadan filled with blessings, forgiveness, and spiritual growth. May Allah accept your Ibadah,” he prays.
