In response to the prevailing economic challenges facing the nation, Dr. Kunle Awotiku, Chairman of the Kunle Awotiku Foundation, has taken proactive steps to alleviate the plight of the people.
Over the course of one week, the foundation conducted intensive vocational skills training aimed at empowering youths and women with the means to earn a livelihood.
The training, which commenced on February 12, 2023, and took place at the Uniplan Office in Ibadan, saw participants engaged in various skill development sessions. From public speaking to graphics design, catering, cosmetology, music, photography, drone piloting, and beauty services such as hair making and makeup, attendees were equipped with a diverse set of practical skills essential for economic sustainability.
In his address, Dr. Awotiku emphasized the importance of self-reliance and collective effort in navigating through the current economic challenges.
He underscored the role of craftsmanship and workmanship as viable solutions to the nation’s economic realities, urging individuals to channel their energies towards skill acquisition and entrepreneurship.
