In an atmosphere of excitement and glamour, Oyo Hairdressers, representing the Nigeria Beautician/Hairdressers Association (NBHA) Oyo State, warmly received Omoluabi Pataki Oloye Benedict Akika, the AgbaAkin of Olorunda-Abaa and Mayegun of Akoboland, at their monthly meeting.
The joyous gathering took place at Mapo Ibadan during the NBHA Oyo State meeting, where the founder of Omituntun Benedict Forum made an impromptu visit to the association.
Addressing the audience, President Chief (Mrs) Oluwatoyin Oladapo praised Chief Benedict Akika for the construction of a Water Borehole at the Association House and activities in Oyo State.
In line with his commitment to community development and philanthropy, Chief Akika generously donated a power generating set at the meeting, in addition to promises made earlier in the year.
Expressing their gratitude, the hundreds of hairdressers serenaded the philanthropist with songs, special chants, praises and prayers.
In response, Chief Akika who is the grand patron of Elewuro Zone NBHA, appreciates the leadership of the association and preaches respect, saying “Respect is Reciprocal”, and that the leaders should respect their wards and vice versa.
He stated his total support to the association and continues to be with them, also assuring that the government of Engr Seyi Makinde is for everyone.
The association, recognizing Chief Benedict Akika’s outstanding contributions across Oyo State, presented him with an Award of Appreciation. He also coordinated a raffle draw on behalf of the association.
Attendees at the event included members of the Omituntun Benedict Forum, Zonal Leaders, and Association Members from various parts of Oyo State, among others.
