On Thursday, January 18, 2024, BON Hotel Ibadan announced the unfortunate demise of its Operations Manager, Mr. Tunde Solomon.
Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate through this difficult period. Mr. Solomon, who passed away due to a heart attack, was reportedly affected by the shock from the recent explosion near BON Hotel in the Bodija axis, where he worked.
The explosion, occurring on January 16, 2024, in Dejo Oyelese street, Bodija, resulted in numerous casualties and damages.
Unfortunately, Mr. Solomon suffered a heart attack on January 17, 2024, believed to be a consequence of the shock experienced from the explosion.
In a tribute on the hotel’s Instagram page, @bonhotelibadan, the management described Mr. Tunde Solomon as a selfless and dedicated worker, contributing over 25 years to the industry and playing a pivotal role in the growth of BON Hotel Ibadan and the broader BON group. His loss leaves an irreplaceable void felt by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
