The Iyaloja General of Oyo State, Princess Folashade Azeezat Abeo, has extended her heartfelt condolences to the residents of Oyo and the entire Alowolodu Royal family of Oyo land on the demise of Prince Abdulfatah Adebayo Adeyemi D’Gov.
In a condolence message issued through her media aide, Mr. Rahmon A. Alawode, Princess Abeo expressed shock over the death of the late former candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 House of Representatives election in the Oyo federal constituency and former Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Pension Board during the Omituntun 1.0 administration.
The late Prince of Oyo Kingdom passed away early morning on Friday at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, after a long battle with diabetes.
Princess Abeo noted that D’Gov’s passing will leave a significant void in the Alowolodu Oyo Kingdom.
She described the deceased as an inspiring brother, acknowledging the pivotal role he played as a Prince of the Oyo empire.
“D’Gov will be deeply missed for his contributions. He was my very loving brother. I make bold to say that he was not only a rare prince but very religious, kind-hearted, considerate and selfless.
“I can only wish that Allah rests his soul,” Abeo prayed.
