In continuation of the familiarization tour, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ward 07, Atiba local government, has declared 100 percent support for the candidacy of Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji WABKEM and his vice, Badmus Olaide Ismail, stating that their emergence is divinely orchestrated.
The Royal Council ward made this declaration on Monday at their ward meeting held at Saint Michael Primary School, Agunpopo area, Oyo, Oyo State. The meeting had in attendance leaders, stakeholders, and faithful party members.
Speaking at the gathering, Leader Rasaq Azeez Asiwaju commended the familiarization tour commenced by the chairmanship candidate, stressing that, having emerged as the Party’s standard bearer in Royal Council, the ward and party members were duty-bound to support the candidates and actively participate in the electioneering processes to ensure the success of the party.
He posited that their nomination by the People’s Democratic Party as the flag bearer for the upcoming Local Government election was purely divine and urged them to fulfill their promises of all-inclusive governance.
While commending the State and local leadership of PDP for the peaceful conduct of the party primaries, Asiwaju declared total support for Chairmanship, Vice Chairmanship, and Councilorship candidates and emphasized a cordial working relationship and collaboration between the incoming Local Government Council, ward Chairmen, as well as stakeholders.
Also, Mama Funke Akinpelu maintained that PDP candidates in Atiba were truly divinely orchestrated, assuring that they would act on the people’s mandate, put an end to suffering, and organize productive capacity building on youth and women empowerment.
“It will be business unusual in Royal Council; our candidates are men of honor, integrity personified, and they are ready to turn things around to boost our economy,” she stated.
In his remarks, the Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji, lauded Ward 07 party members for the warm reception. He expressed readiness to transform the council and solidify the party’s unity.
Also, the Chairmanship candidate had a stop over at leader Dr. Adejumo (Tola Store) house, Boroboro Oyo township.
Wabkem promised that his incoming governance would run an open-door policy where dividends of democracy would be judged on equity, fairness, and justice.
He commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his sustainable development agenda, making Oyo an investment destination.
He also hailed Senator Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu, Barrister Seun Ashamu, and Hon. Gbenga Oyekola for their great role and support for his candidacy. In his entourage are; State executive, Alhaji Olanrewaju Muhammed, Atiba PDP party chairman, Hon. Kabiru Ashamu, party secretary, Hon Kehinde Aleem, all local executives, all Ward Chairmen, team Wabkem, and several others.
