Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2023
Three Goodvine College students – Best Famuwagun, Sonia Anudu and Kamsi Ikechukwu -have won Silver Awards in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2023. This is a significant accomplishment, as the competition attracted over 34,924 entries from 50 Commonwealth countries. The students’ essays were judged on their creativity, originality, and understanding of the competition theme.
Menders Anti-Poverty Foundation Essay and Speaking Challenge.
Kayla Ebere, a JSS 3 student, took the 5th position out of 30 students across several schools that competed in the essay and speaking Challenge organized by the Menders Anti Poverty Foundation. This event aimed to promote the importance of education and empower young people to become agents of change. Kayla’s essay and speaking skills impressed the judges, and her success is a testament to her hard work and dedication.
PENGASSAN 2nd Edition Essay Competition 2023
Ishola Hikmat Oluwanifemi, JSS 1, emerged as the 1st runners-up in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, (PENGASSAN) 2nd Edition Essay Competition 2023. She received a cash prize of 500,000 Naira for her outstanding essay.
This competition was designed to encourage students to think critically about the oil and gas industry and its impact on society. Ishola’s essay demonstrated her in-depth knowledge of the subject matter and her ability to articulate her ideas clearly and persuasively.
An obviously elated proprietress of the school, Mrs. Grace Aghulor, sees the achievements” as a source of great pride for Goodvine College”. Continuing, she reiterates the commitment of the college in “providing its students with the support and resources they need to succeed”.
The students’ accomplishments are a reflection of their hard work, talent, and dedication. They are an inspiration to their peers and a shining example of what can be achieved through education. “Goodvine College is committed to nurturing its students’ potential and helping them reach their full potential”.
