In continuation of Ward tour across the Royal Council towards record of massive votes ahead of the forthcoming local government election in Oyo State, Atiba Ward 09 party Chieftains, stakeholders, leaders, and faithful members have declared support for the Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji WABKEM, his vice Olaide Ismail Badmus and all ten Councilorship candidate saying they’re a unifier while reaffirmed support for all-round winning at the poll.
While making the official confirmation, during the Ward 09 tour, the erstwhile party chairman of Atiba local government, Leader Isiaka Adebayo pledged to support the unifier ambition of the chairmanship candidate Waliu Adetunji, his vice Badmus Olaide to solidify the party as a single entity with peaceful co-existence.
“Waliu Adetunji WABKEM remains a candidate that can hold it together, consolidate on existing welding efforts, inspire hope, bring a smile of hope to the faces of Atiba residents, inspire patriotism, hope, saying it’s a crystal clear that the various administration has struggled with the challenge of harmonizing disparate interest, causing unrest, division, set back among the party members and others”.
“Let me say it for the first time, this incoming regime is a true reflection of all-inclusiveness, bringing back the lost glory of what the Atiba PDP administration has in stock, what our forefathers described People’s oriented policies, which is in line with roadmap accelerated development agenda of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde 2023-2027, contained in the document policies” he assured.
He urged the vice Chairmanship to work in cordial relationship with the Chairmanship candidate when he takes the affairs of the local development council (LCDAs) as the Council administrator saying the hard learning stays longer in the memory than the easy one, stating that Hon. Olaide Ismail Badmus remains a man of honor and inestimable values to the youth and residents of Atiba.
Also, Leader Salam Raji former two-term Ward 09 Chairman commended the pragmatic movement of the candidate, saying, It is impossible to meet every demand, but the leadership needs to be equitable in the distribution of local resources, which are the patrimony of every resident of Royal Council.

In her words Mrs. Azeez Sherifat, reaffirmed the support of the women for the PDP candidate, saying all units and wards will be duly delivered at the poll, she acknowledged the fact that the Atiba candidate is a true reflection of a unifier, claiming that Atiba stakeholders, leaders, and chieftain have taken the right step to endorse a democrat per excellent to administer the affairs at the grassroots level, come May 2024.
Madam Sherifat lauded the ward tour saying it’s the best strategy at the right moment to victory at the poll.
Equally, the state executive of PDP in Atiba local government, Alhaji Olanrewaju Muhammed (a.k.a M.M) reassured the party support for all candidates noting that Oyo State PDP is committed to a Unifier administration aimed to toe the line of sustainable development agenda of the number one leader of the party, His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde.
Alhaji Olanrewaju further maintained that in Atiba it will be business unusual, the incoming administration of Him Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, his vice and Councilorship candidates are true reflections of equity, justice, and fairness doctrine to transform the Royal Council up to its expectations, while declaring that the party will continue to support them by to record total victory at the forthcoming council elections.
In his Remarks, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji WABKEM lauded the support of the party chieftains, stakeholders, leaders, and members of the party for a warm reception to the unveiling of the continuation of his ambition ward tour, together with the Councilorship candidate.
According to him; “We will establish policies that would widen horizons and expand business outreach, while ensuring that Atiba will be expanded for businesses and create a conducive atmosphere for business to thrive, thereby becoming more active and lucrative trade for manufacturing corridors.”
Wabkem now assured the party members that the only recognized party in Atiba is the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) based on the People’s oriented policies and agenda towards grassroots development.
He commended members of the Governor Advisory Council, Sen. Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu, Hon. Seun Ashamu, Oyo Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Oyo assembly Chief Whip Hon. Gbenga Oyekola, Hon. Kamil Akinlabi Mudashiru, and Alhaji Olanrewaju Muhammed (M.M), for their meritorious support for making his ambition to ventured.
