The Speaker, Akwa-Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Udeme Otong has sought a synergic and collaborative working relationship with the Oyo State House of Assembly towards enhancing the legislative activities of the two state Assemblies.
Hon. Udeme Otong stated this while hosting Oyo State House of Assembly members and the management team who were in Akwa-Ibom for a two day post inauguration workshop to a dinner.
The Akwa-Ibom State Speaker who presented certificate of participation to all the thirty-two Lawmakers and the management staff said such a workshop was pivotal in order to enhance the knowledge and experience of those saddled with the constitutional duties of lawmaking.
This is just as the Akwa-Ibom State Speaker extolled the leadership and managerial skills and qualities of the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin describing him as one who possesses the ability required to effectively lead and coordinate.
” I want to use this medium to appreciate members of the Oyo State House of Assembly and the management staff of the House for coming to Akwa-Ibom State for their post inauguration workshop. This is a good development and a great privilege.
Akwa-Ibom State is happy to host the Chairman Conference of Speakers of State legislature of Nigeria and his members from Oyo State, and I want to call for increased collaboration, closer interaction and connection between the two state Assemblies especially in the areas of exchange of legislative ideas, expertise, experiences and knowledge.
The 8th Akwa-Ibom State House of Assembly is advocating for a seamless symbiosis between the two state Assemblies.
