The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has rejoiced with member representing Ibadan North East 2 State Constituency in the House, Hon. Olusola Owolabi on his conferment of the traditional title of Balogun of Akobo Ojurin in Ibadan.

This is just as the Speaker also congratulated a People’s Democratic Party, PDP Chieftain in Oyo State Chief Benedict Akika and his wife, Chief Mrs. Abidemi Akika on their installation as the Mayegun of Akobo and Yeye Mayegun of Akobo respectively.

In a congratulatory message, the Speaker said the conferment of the chieftaincy titles on these great personalities was a testament and a confirmation of their impeccable character and unalloyed commitment to humanitarian activities.

” Hearty congratulations to one of us, Hon. Olusola Owolabi who has now become a traditional title holder – the Balogun of Akobo Ojurin. This is a well deserved traditional title going by your undying believe in giving back to the society as your political activities aimed at uplifting your constituents. The entire Oyo State House of Assembly is proud to associate with you on this honor. We pray to God to bless you with long life and sound health to enjoy the traditional title and also to do more for the development of humanity.” Hon. Ogundoyin prayed.

The Speaker described Chief Benedict Akika and his wife Chief Mrs Abidemi Akika who were installed as the new Mayegun and Ye Mayegun of Akobo Ojurin in Ibadan as befitting of the honours.

In his words ” The Mayegun of Akobo and the Yeye Mayegun of Akobo are another two great individuals who are selfless and unassuming. I am happy that your dedication and commitment to the upliftment of the society is being rewarded. It is my fervent believe that these honours will spur you and your amiable wife to bring more development to Akobo Ojurin and its environs. Congratulations once again. Oye a Mori o. “
