Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Services has taken a proactive step in supporting Corps members during their service year by partnering with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Oyo State management.

This partnership, initiated by the State Coordinator, Comrade Odoba Abel Oche, is set to ease the intra-state movement of Corps members, ensuring a more convenient and affordable transport experience.

Hon. Dr. Dikko Salami, the Chairman and sole administrator of Pacesetter Transport Services, welcomed this collaboration during a meeting with Comrade Odoba.

He expressed his agency’s commitment to backing NYSC in this initiative, aligning with the broader goals of the Oyo State Government under Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership. Dr. Salami praised the state government’s modern transportation system, noting its role in reducing transportation costs and enhancing overall mobility across the state.

Comrade Odoba highlighted the pressing issue of commercial vehicle drivers charging exorbitant fees to Corps members as they leave the orientation camp.

This concern led the NYSC management to seek out Oyo state Pacesetter Transport Services as a reliable partner to provide state-owned vehicles for transporting Corps members to their respective Local Government areas after each orientation course.

Dr. Salami assured that the agency is fully prepared to assist in this regard.

He emphasized that Corps members should be treated with care and respect, not exploited.

The Chairman also pledged to work with his management team to devise a plan that ensures affordable transport services for Corps members, reflecting the mission of the Oyo State Government to prioritize the welfare of its residents, including those serving the nation.

This collaboration signifies a significant advancement in enhancing the welfare of Corps members in Oyo State, further solidifying the government’s commitment to improving the quality of life for all citizens.
