It has become increasingly clear that quality education is the cornerstone of a prosperous society, and the leadership and management of Attaofeequ Billahi International School (ABIS), Ibadan, firmly believe that education should be an experience that goes beyond mere academics.

It’s about cultivating responsible, ideal citizens who can make ideal impact in their communities.

This involves constant drilling and mentorship outside the confines of the academic curriculum, with a focus on character development, emotional intelligence, and social responsibility, – this allows us to empower our students to become active participants in shaping their own destinies and those of their communities.

In our opinion, the national standard for quality education should encompass a broad range of subjects that promote civic awareness, ethical leadership, integrity, and good human relations.

This should include basic understanding of fear of God, community dynamics, social etiquette, and cultural values. An emphasis on these values can raise a new generation of leaders who are equipped to tackle the many challenges facing our nation.

This, in turn, will reduce our concerns about public officers and governance, as we’ll have a pool of talented, conscientious individuals who can drive reforms and are truly answerable to the people.. Moreover, this approach will motivate a sense of community and social cohesion, essential for building a harmonious and progressive society.

Our priority at ABIS has always been to nurture God-fearing, responsible citizens who will be assets to themselves, their communities, and the country at large.

We frankly submit that education is not just about imparting knowledge, but also about shaping character and values.

While academic excellence is crucial, we place equal emphasis on character development, and ensure that our students become persons of good conscience, integrity, and compassion.

Our experienced faculty and staff continue to work tirelessly to create a supportive learning environment that encourages our students to explore, discover, and grow.

We also engage parents and the wider community very regularly in our educational endeavours, with a recognition that education is indeed a collaborative effort.

We’re convinced that this approach will make the education of our wards truly valuable and relevant.

More seriously, and noting from the vantage position of research, our focus on character development, civic awareness, and social responsibility reflects our deep understanding of the Nigerian community and the leadership deficits that plague our society.

We believe that, if and when we instill these values in our students, we can inspire a new generation of leaders who are committed to doing things in a more better way.

Unarguably, we are pioneer in this approach, but we invite like-minded institutions to equally test this approach and join us in shaping the next generation of leaders.

Recently, we celebrated the Walimotu-Qur’an graduation of a group of young students, and this demonstrate our commitment to building a strong moral foundation in our wards.

We believe that this spiritual grounding, combined with academic excellence and character development, will empower our students to become positive change-makers in their respective communities.

Our Islamic faith emphasises the importance of knowledge, compassion, and service to humanity.

We won’t relent to keep integrating these values into our educational programs, – we aim to produce graduates who are not only accomplished academically but also morally and spiritually.

We’re grateful for the unmeasured depth of support of our proprietor, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem, in driving this vision forward, and we look forward to continuing our mission of shaping the next generation of leaders, Bi Idhni Lah.
