Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Oyo South senatorial candidate in the last general election, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho, a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government and former National Chairman of the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD).

“I received the news of the death of a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government and former National Chairman of the defunct Alliance for Democracy, Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho.

Baba Koleosho, who until his death, was the Babalaje of Saki, was one of the last men standing in the leaders who gave their all to make Nigeria a better place. Successive administration in Oyo state and beyond have relied wealth of experience for guidance. He was one of the few leaders who displayed courage in speaking truth to power. In his lifetime, he demonstrated an undying love for Oyo state and the Yoruba Nation.

With the death of Chief Koleosho, Oyo State has lost one of the pioneer leaders of progressive politics, a great patriot and selfless leader. His death is marks the end of an era and renaming The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic Saki after him is a fitting honour to his legacy, and it is commendable that Governor Seyi Makinde honoured him in his lifetime.

I wish to extend my condolences to the Oyo state Government, the Koleoso family and the good people of Saki as well as Babalaje’s political family spread across the state and Nigeria.”
