The Chairperson of the Market Traders Association Of Nigeria (MATAN) in the Southwest region, Princess Afolashade Abeo Nurudeen, has expressed her heartfelt condolences over the passing of her counterpart in Kwara State, Hajia (Chief) Sidikat Akaje who is also the Iyaloja General.
In a statement, Princess Folashade described Haija Sidikat as a dedicated and compassionate leader who worked tirelessly for the welfare of the market trader and the community in Kwara State.
She praised Haija (Chief) Akaje’s contributions to the development of MATAN in Kwara State, noting her unwavering commitment to the association’s ideals and values.
Princess Nurudeen also extended her condolences to the family of the deceased, the market community in Kwara State, and the national leadership of MATAN, praying for the repose of Hajia (Chief) Akaje’s soul and fortitude for the bereaved.
“May Almighty God forgive her, grant her eternal life and grant her family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.”
The Southwest MATAN chairperson also recalled the deceased’s invaluable support and collaboration during her tenure, saying, “Her demise is a great loss to our organization in Nigeria.”
