The Executive Chairman of Atiba Local Government, Hon. Wahaab Waliu Adetunji, also known as WABKEM, has met with principal officers to seek their support, understanding, and a harmonious working relationship.

In a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo News by the Head of the Information Unit, Mr. Bayo Ogunwale, it was added that Hon. Adetunji WABKEM charged the officers to ensure the swift implementation of his administration’s policies. In his words, “In making decisions, you need to consider posterity and see the development of Atiba as paramount and of utmost priority.”

Furthermore, Hon. Adetunji urged the officers to see themselves as a united team with the common goal of advancing the local government.

He stated that he is open to advice that could transform Atiba and that within the first 100 days, there would be evidence of projects ready for commissioning.

Hon. Adetunji WABKEM also challenged the officers to increase the Internally Generated Revenue by blocking all possible leakages.

Responding on behalf of the officers, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Peter Oladeji, assured the Chairman of the officers’ cooperation, stating that the current team would effectively fulfill their assigned responsibilities.

In attendance at the meeting were the Directors and Heads of Units in the local government.
