In celebration of Otunba Seye Famojuro’s 51st birthday and as a gesture of appreciation towards Governor Seyi Makinde’s political ally, five chairmanship candidates from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have generously donated essential food items to the HLA Handicapped School in Agodi Gate, Ibadan.
Led by Akeem Olatunji, the chairmanship candidate in Oluyole, and Barrister Ayodele Adekanbi, the Director General of the Oyo State Agency of People Living with Disabilities, the group of chairmanship candidates commended the exceptional qualities of Otunba Famojuro, considering him a rare gem.
The presentation of the food items took place on Wednesday, February 14, and was attended by the PDP chairmanship candidates of Ibadan North, Oluwaseun Olufade; Engr Akeem Olatunji; Oluyole, Akinyele, Wole Akinleye; Lagelu, Kamorudeen Mudashiru; and Dr. Kolapo Temitope Glorious Ona-Ara.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Olatunji and Adekanbi described Otunba Famojuro as a visionary leader who is committed to mentoring and grooming future leaders from the younger generation of politicians in the state.
Recognized as an exceptionally selfless leader, Olatunji emphasized that the gesture was a demonstration of Otunba Famojuro’s open support for physically challenged and underprivileged members of society.
The food items, which included a 50kg bag of rice, several cartons of noodles, spaghetti, biscuits, candy sweets, and sanitary pads for girls, were provided to allow the students and teachers to partake in the birthday celebration.
Olatunji stated, “This philanthropic gesture not only celebrates Otunba Seye Famojuro, our leader, mentor, and benefactor, but also aims to make a positive impact on the lives and well-being of the students and the school as a whole.”
In response, Mrs. Adewale E. O., the Head Mistress of the school, expressed her gratitude to the PDP chairmanship candidates for presenting the food items on behalf of Otunba Famojuro. She described Governor Seyi Makinde as a friend of the masses and prayed for the celebrant’s well-being and the electoral success of the chairmanship candidates in the upcoming local government election in April.
