Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, has congratulated his boss, Engineer Seyi Makinde on his installation as the Jagunmolu of Ondo kingdom by the Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Dr. Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo, describing it as a deserving honor for a man of inestimable value in Southwest.

Lawal who expresses happiness at the honour bestowed on the Vice Chairman of Nigeria Governor’s forum, says the recognition outside Oyo state
is yet a testament to the outstanding contributions of His Excellency to our society.

In a statement he personally signed on Friday, the deputy governor acknowledged his principal as a towering figure whose zeal for excellence inspires the younger generation.

He stated that Governor Makinde has set the standard and blazed the trail in good governance and leadership qualities across the country., adding that the conferment is yet another reward for a man with leadership prowess.

According to him, His Excellency’s exceptional performance over the past five years, along with his people- and mass-oriented initiatives, have won more people to his cause as a good leader and one of the best governors Oyo State has ever had.

“My boss is a true Omoluabi and a pride for the Southwest whose contributions to the development of Yoruba race can not be overemphasized as he continued to lead in governance and leadership.

“Jagunmolu is more than just a title; it represents the worth and respect that a man has in society, especially in the Southwest.

“Many of us are not surprised that you have been conferred with such a tittle since you are a bright light who has continued to guide people’s pathways regardless of their ancestry or affiliation.

The Deputy Governor while thanking the Osemawe of Ondo for the honour and recognition done to his principal noted that the honour is not only for Governor Makinde but for the entire people of Oyo State.
